Arcade Block, February 2015

In February, I couldn’t resist the promised Legend of Zelda loot in the Arcade Block so here it is!

First up is a wonderful Link plush. I already had one of those, but hey! two is better than one XD

P1110927 P1110932

Next up is a pac-man key chain that makes pac-man noises (!) and a lovely Starfox Coffee cup!

P1110929 P1110930

Then there was a buildable figure of Sonic. This one is probably going to end up in my nephew’s hands since he loves Sonic haha

This month’s shirt was a very beautiful Majora’s Mask themed shirt.

Last of all is this lovely map of Hyrule in A Link to the Past printed on a mouse pad!

Until Next Time!

Nerd Block, January

In January I decided to go for the Nerd Block again because they said there would be some Star Wars loot, and I simply can’t resist Star Wars stuff!

First off is a Doctor Who shirt. It looks awesome, but since I don’t watch Doctor Who I can’t enjoy the awesomeness to the max.

Next up is some awesome elf ears and better yet a Hobbit bookmark and Gandalf’s staff as a pen! We can’t quite see it in the picture, but the bookmark is like in 3D. I don’t know how it’s called, but when you look at it you can see some depth (please tell me you understand my rambling?)

Then there was a cute little Grumpy Cat plushie XD and this scatter brainz thing. From what I can understand, you throw the scatter brainz on the “Office Decision Maker”.

Another thing included in this Block was a Star Trek comic. I’m not sure if it’s a crossover between Star Trek and Planet of the Apes or if that planet existed in Star Trek (I’ve never watched Star Trek), but it looks like a nice read.

Last, but not least, is this awesome real clip of film from Star Wars Episode V! There’s even a little card that says it’s authentic!

Next month I’ll be bringing you an Arcade Block with some Zelda loot in it!

Until Next Time!

Nerd Block, December 2014

So apparently I’m still torn between Nerd Block and Arcade Block because there’s something awesome in this block and possibly something awesome in next month’s Nerd Block as well. But let’s not think about next month yet and see what we got in this month’s.

First off is this month’s shirt! The Butter Beer annual pub crawl shirt is the one everyone received and for Christmas, Shirtpunch decided to give us a second shirt chosen randomly by them. I got Tink Girl! Love them both!

P1110781 P1110782

Next up is a Tetris notebook. I love how the page edges are done like Tetris pieces 😀

P1110785 P1110786

Then we got another little something to build. It’s a Dungeons & Dragons builder pack. You get a random character. I got Darvin the soldier (I’m guessing from his armor). The card gives you his stats haha

The “big” item for the month is this autographed Willow print. You could either get one signed by Warwick Davis or Val Kilmer. I got one from Val Kilmer. I put “big” because I don’t exactly know this movie or these dudes (I know them by face, but I couldn’t say what they were in) so it’s not such a huge thing for me.

Now THIS is the big item for me 😀 A wonderfull GIZMO PLUSH. I am in love with it XD

Until Next Time!

Nerd Block, November

This month I decided to try out the Nerd Block instead of the Arcade Block for two reasons. One being that I wasn’t sure if I was more nerd or more gamer. The other reason was the fact that they said there would be a Boba Fett item in the Nerd Block so I couldn’t resist. Here’s what I got!

P1110381 P1110380

A beautiful Iron Man mug with a strip from The Invincible Iron Man comic

P1110372 P1110373

A fabulous Batman plushie and an awesome Slap Watch with a little boo inside!

P1110375 P1110376

Some Boba Fett vinyl decals that you can apparently stick anywhere from cars to windows or the wall. And finally, an awesome Dead Pool shirt!

I was a bit disapointed by the Boba Fett item, but it was still cool. And the rest of the block was still pretty awesome. Altough I like the loot I got, I think I’m going to stick with the Arcade Block.

Arcade Block, October

Since I wasn’t satisfied with the loot I was getting for the price I payed, I decided to try out Arcade Block in October.

Arcade Block doesn’t actually have a theme other than giving us gaming stuff and there’s a shirt every month. Here’s what was in October’s Block:

A Half Life Crab Shack shirt

P1110226 P1110228

We also have a very cute Flying Squirrel Luigi plush and a Super Mario Pull Back Racer of Luigi

P1110229 P1110230

Next up is a Portal Key Cap, that I’ll definately be putting on my house key(!), and magnetic whiteboards from Hyrule, complete with the pen!

P1110238 P1110269

Lastly we have a Street Fighter Pixel Bricks. The character I got is Blanka. It took me about an hour to build it! The pieces were so tiny and there’s so much details it’s incredible!

For November, I’ll be switching my subscription to the Nerd Block instead of the Arcade Block to compare the loot and see if I’m more Gamer than Nerd or the other way around.

Did you think it was better loot than what I used to receive?

Until Next Time!

Loot Crate, September

I know I said last month would be the last Loot Crate, but when I signed up for Arcade Block it signed me up for the October loot since September was full and Loot Crate’s loot for September sounded awesome so I couldn’t resist. I should have though.

Here’s this months theme:

I was told there would be Star Wars and Firefly loot in there. Who could resist that?! I should have.

First up is a Tribble from Star Trek, made by Quantum Mechanix, which is basicly just a ball of fur… I guess it could be considered awesome for Trekkies, but I’m not one so this was a huge waste (except for the fact that my son enjoyed it for 2 minutes)

Next up is an Alien re-action figure, made by Funko & 20th Century Fox. What in the world am I supposed to do with that?

Then there’s some Firefly money (yay?) made by Quantum Mechanix, a Star Wars retro arcade magnet (…seriously?) by Loot Crate Labs & Lucasfilm ltd., Halo Escalation #1-3 digital editions from Dark Horse Comics and some Pop Rocks.

Finally something slightly exciting! A 9×27″ Star Wars Poster of Han Solo in carbonite. Where in the world am I going to put this though?

The last slightly exciting thing is this Vinyl Mal action figure which is 3″ tall… and of course we have the collectible pin.

I was yet again quite disappointed with this months loot. When I heard there would be Star Wars and Firefly content in there, I was so excited. But yet again they didn’t take advantage of the potential of their theme and we ended up with almost crap. October’s theme is Fear, which I would be very excited about since we are the month of Halloween and I’ve heard great things about last year’s October loot, but with how disappointing they’ve been this last couple of months, I don’t think they’ll be doing something incredible this year. Besides, I already payed for the October’s Arcade block, so I can’t subscribe to Loot Crate this month.

What did you think of this months loot?

Until Next Time!

Loot Crate, August 2014

Last month was Villains, this month they gave us Heroes!

First in line is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merchandise. There’s the glasses (made by H2W) and the little figurine/toy (made by Kidrobot). As you can see the figurine is Donatello, and seeing as the glasses are the same color, I’m guessing the glasses are Donatello as well. I’m not a big TMNT fan so I’m probably just going to give this loot to my nephew whom adores them.

Next in line is probably the best part of the loot crate even if I’m not a fan of it yet. It is a Pop! Groot bobble head made by Funko & Marvel. It’s an exclusive Loot Crate edition that glows in the dark.

Lastly we got some Digital Codes for different content (Given to us by Loot Crate Labs), a “Chimichanga’s, the breakfast of Anti-Heroes” magnet (again from Loot Crate Labs) a Megaman Air Freshener (Courtesy of Sega and Epic Scents), Some Shoe Lightning Bolts (Made by Schwings) and of course this months collectible pin.

And yet again this month they did some doodles in the box. I think it’s the TMNT hideout?

This month will probably be the last loot crate that I sign up for. The loot has gotten less and less exciting in my opinion. However, I’ll try the Nerd Block see if it’s any better. At least it’s cheaper 😛

Until Next Time!

Loot Crate, July 2014

With a theme named VILLAINS, I couldn’t resist getting this Loot Crate; and I wasn’t disappointed.

First off we received an awesome Joki T-shirt, made by Zack Finfrock

Then there’s these two awesome posters of Harley Quinn and the Joker, made by DC Comics & Trends International

An exclusive Rocket Raccoon Comic, made by Marvel & Diamond Comics, to celebrate the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

We also got some awesome Deadpool Socks, made by Marvel Comics & HYP; a Necessary Evil DVD, made by DC Comics & Warner Brothers, that I still need to watch. It’s supposed to be a documentary exploring the villains of the DC Universe.

Last, but not least, there was also a Darth Vader key chain, made by Lucas Films & Plasticolor, ’cause you know, it’s not a villain box without Darth Vader 😉 ; a super Bowser Magnet, made by Loot Crate Labs; and, of course, the monthly collectible pin.

This month was a bit special because Villains took over the box, and left us quite the awesome message!

Until Next Time!

Loot Crate, June 2014

This month, the theme is Transform.

First off we have the Marty McPrime shirt, made by Nathan Davis & The Hundreds.

Then we received a Transformers Blind Box, made by Hasbro & The Loyal Subjects. I got Jazz, the right-hand man of Optimus Prime.

Next up is the Transformers Hex Bugs, made by Hasbro & First Innovations Labs. I’m not sure if they’re supposed to have names, but mine is the green one haha

Lastly, there’s a sticker from Transformers (I’m not sure if I have a Looterbots or a Decepticrates, as they call them); a MLG Terry Cloth Wristband and MLG stickers. Not really a Transform thing, but they put them in there because of the upcoming MLG Championship in Anaheim; Then we got some Warheads and the monthly collectible pin.

Until Next Time!

Loot Crate, May 2014

This months theme was ADVENTURE! This month, they decided to make the booklet digital. So here’s the link if you want to check it out:

The first item on the list is a Describing the Legend shirt made by Zen Monkey Studios.

Next up is an Adventure Time tin with a figurine inside, made by Cartoon Network & Funko

Then we had a wonderful Minecraft Hanger, made by Mojang & Just Toys Int., that I have absolutely no idea where to hang haha. Mine was a cow XD

This month, Loot Crate partnered up with some youtubers to get the best products, so they made stickers and tattoos of them. The Curator Stickerset is made by Maker & Polaris, the MarkiplierTats by Maker & Markiplier, and the CaptainSparklez Stickers by Maker & Captain Sparklez.

Last but not least, we have a Friend Zone Soundtrack (made by Maker & Polaris), a Dangerous To Go Alone Opener (Made by Loot Crate Labs), and of course our collectible pin of the month.

Until Next Time!
